We have all some claims to fame - I have a few interesting ones

In 1991 The Cabinet Maker - the trade magazine for furniture trade had its centenary. It decided to run a marketing competition for various size businesses in the industry and guess who won!

David Mellor

At one point in the late eighties, I was the Personal Assistant to Culture Vulture and Chelsea FC supporter David Mellor when we he was Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Putney.

One of David's claim to fame was he didn't drive.

When I asked why a 30 something still hadn't past his test he told me "You always find a man to drive you" He was right and it was me!!!

Jean Shrimpton

I know this takes some believing but I needed to add some beauty to this page somewhere. I am related (very distantly) to Jean "The Shrimp" Shrimpton. Her family has been based in High Wycombe for over 100 years and an ancestor of hers was James Shrimpton who was my Great Great Grandfather. However my link is through his adopted daughter who was his sister in law's child. So actually I have no Shrimpton blood at all. A bit of a relief really as one of the Shrimpton's was Jack Shrimpton - The famous highwayman!
